Project Overview:

Our client wants to develop a Python app to evaluate and predict quality measures during paper production. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you are responsible for:

- Connect the Python app to existing data sources to retrieve measurement data from production
- Create analytical and machine learning models to evaluate the data
- Predict better production parameters and feed them back into the production system
- Develop and deploy the functionality as a Python/Django application


Required Skills (must-have):

- Excellent Python skills (min 5 years)
- Deep knowledge in timeseries analysis (pandas, sklearn, pytorch, ...)
- Expert in high-quality software development (git branch/merge models, pytest, CI/CD pipelines, TTD, linter, code formatter, ...)
- Experience with Django, FastAPI, and APIs in general (give examples, please)

Preferred Skills (nice-to-have):
- DevOps experience with industrial applications
- Experience with time series databases

Location: ca 95% Remote, ca 5% next to Ulm
Work load: initially 10h / Week, later probably more
Duration: initially 3 months, extension highly probable
